Celebrating Europe Day at the Michigan State Capitol

On Europe Day, Governor Gretchen Whitmer welcomed members of the Michigan Consular Corps to the State Capitol to celebrate the enduring ties between Michigan and Europe. The gathering highlighted the strength of these transatlantic relationships — rooted in shared democratic values, vibrant cultural exchange, and robust economic collaboration.

We were proud to see Norway represented by Dennis Flessland, Honorary Consul of Norway to Michigan and Secretary of NorCham Michigan. His presence underscored Norway’s continued commitment to diplomatic engagement and partnership in the Great Lakes region.
